Carnivals
The Nundah Sharks participate in swimming carnivals with other local clubs. Currently, we are involved in four carnivals each season.
The carnivals usually occur on a Saturday afternoon and are an opportunity to race your fastest and represent the gold and black.
Some carnivals are ‘invitational’ – meaning that you can nominate to swim an event – while others may require you to be selected. And the best thing is that carnivals often have a relay event, so you can race with your teammates.
Parent volunteers & support
The club may be asked to supply volunteers to assist at each carnival. Usually a few timekeepers or referees. If your child is participating, please consider helping out.
Our club hosts the Nundah X Swim Carnival in late November, we’ll need lots of our members to help out for this event. This is a great event for all families, and a chance to experience the Sharks team spirit.
Clayton Owen Memorial Shield Carnival
Nominations open Thurs 23 Oct 2025
Open carnival, no selection. All nominees get to swim and represent Nundah Sharks.
Nominations close Fri 31 Oct 6pm
Date : Saturday 8 November 2025
Time: Gates open 11:30am + Warm up 12pm + Start 12:30pm
Where : Somerset Hills State School, 237 Kitchener Rd, Stafford Height
Cost : $5/ family, pay on the day
Age rules : Age calculated according to age on block on 8th Nov 2025

NOMINATIONS OPEN NOW – complete 1 form for each child. Nominations close 29 Jan 2026
